Dr Muhammad Salim studied in Pakistan and abroad. He obtained his MSc (Hons) In Agriculture from University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) and PhD from University of Philippines at Los Banos UPLB/ International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) Philippines.
Dr Salim worked as Vice President and President of International Muslims Student Association (IMSA) during his higher studies at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI)/ University of Phillipines at Los Banos (UPLB), Philippines. He worked for the welfare of the muslim community and played a vital role for the establishment and improvement of the Islamic centre to make IMSA a viable and dynamic association.
As a scientist, he generated a lot of new knowledge on integrated pest management (IPM).
He has more than 200 Publications at his credit, which include books, chapters in books, Research papers in referred journals, proceedings, popular articles, brochures and technical reports.
In addition to scientific publications, He has written a number of articles and books on different aspects of religion.
Dr Salim got the best paper award five times in National Seerah Conferences which were arranged by ministry of foreign affairs in Islamabad. These awards were conferred by General Pervaiz Musharraf, President (2000 and 2002), Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Prime minister (1997), Mr. M. Farooq Leghari, President (1996) and Mr. Moeen Qureshi, Prime minister (1999) of the Islamic Republic Of Pakistan.
His work continues to guide and inspire students, researchers, and seekers of knowledge worldwide.
